“Blue Lives Matter!” Except when a black cop told this entitled Virginia state senator where to park

To put it indelicately, something might be off about freshman GOP Senator Amanda Chase. Healthy people aren’t terrified of their own citizens and don’t pack heat on the Senate floor.

26-year-old pleads guilty to rape of 14-year-old, gets zero jail time and $1,300 in ‘fees’

No jail time, ten years probation, and the lowest level sex offender designation. That’s the sentence handed out to Watertown, New York’s 26-year-old Shane M. Piche for raping a 14-year-old girl in his home after serving her alcohol. Piche had pled guilty to third degree rape of a 14-year-old girl he met as her school bus driver. Judge James P. McClusky said the reasoning for the low-level sex offender classification was due to the fact that Piche did not have an arrest record and there was only one victim.

Something is really rotten in the state of Kentucky, and it’s coming from Russia

The opinion editors back home in Kentucky are not really thrilled with the idea of the Russians getting an economic hold on the state. Not just the Russians, but the Russian mob. At the LouisvilleCourier Journal, Joseph Gerth is not too excited at the prospect that “by the middle of the year, we’ll be in business with Oleg Deripaska, a buddy of Vladimir Putin.” Kentucky is looking for $200 million from the Russian to invest in a $1.7 billion aluminum plant there. He goes on to describe Deripaska’s “deep ties to Russian organized crime,” and the allegations of Deripaska’s violent, ruthless, criminal past in Russia.

Gentrification has irritated yet another community of color. In Washington DC, students and alumni of Howard University are objecting to residents who walk their dogs on the campus, feeling these actions infringe on the campus and its history.

The university is historically black and affectionately referred to as one of the Black Meccas of American society. It was founded in 1867 and has been located in the Shaw neighborhood of Washington for the entirety of its 152-year history.

Former Sec of State, Senator, Watergate Attorney Delivers Impeachment Plan We Need

A little-known former Secretary of State published an Op-Ed in the Washington Post that is must-read for anyone looking for a North Star to guide us through the aftermath of the Mueller Report and into what looks likely to be Impeachment.

She starts out with the basics:

“Our election was corrupted, our democracy assaulted, our sovereignty and security violated. This is the definitive conclusion of special counsel Robert S. Mueller III’s report. It documents a serious crime against the American people.
