WASHINGTON ― Rep. Deb Haaland (D-N.M.) on Thursday ripped House Republicans who tried this week to strip protections for Native American women from the Violence Against Women Act.
“You what that means boys. We have to protect our phony-baloney jobs!”
The U.S. House of Representatives just voted 424-1 to formally condemn white supremacy and white nationalism, in the wake of comments made last week by Rep. Steve King, a Republican of Iowa. MSNBC notes Congressman King voted for the Resolution.
House Resolution 41, filed by Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC), specifically names Congressman King, and includes the most controversial part of his remarks that have cause a firestorm, HuffPost reports.
