Horror movie fans might get the chance to see George A. Romero’s long lost 1973 feature “The Amusement Park” on the big screen. According to a report published this week from Bloody Disgusting, Yellow Veil Pictures has come on board the project to handle the movie’s worldwide distribution rights.
BBC Studios will be airing the lost Doctor Who episode “Mission to the Unknown” next week in its latest attempt to recover missing Doctor Who media.
But the episode that’s airing is completely fan-made.
Announced by Doctorwho.tv, this production of ‘Mission to the Unknown‘ was recreated by a team of students and staff of the University of Central Lancashire.
The Fab Four’s appearance on Top of the Pops in the summer of 1966 was thought to have been lost to history before the collector David Chandler handed over a series of 8mm film reels.
Chandler gave the haul to Kaleidoscope, a group that specialises in recovering video and TV shows. Experts remastered the footage and enhanced the sound of the clip, featuring 92 seconds of the Beatles performing Paperback Writer.
To date, not a single trace of the musician or the aircraft has ever been discovered. Alongside the disappearance of Amelia Earhart, it remains one of the greatest mysteries in aviation history.
However, the mystery may be solved thanks to a retired trawlerman from England who is “utterly convinced” he pulled up the wreck of Miller’s aircraft in his fishing nets 32 years ago.
