Trump administration officials took steps on Friday to crack down on transparency at one of the largest US federal agencies, proposing a slew of changes that could make it harder for the public and media to obtain records of agency dealings.

CHICAGO: Heartland Cafe to Close After 42 Years

On Dec. 31, after 42 years, an iconic Rogers Park restaurant and community hub will close.

The Heartland Cafe, which has been striving to serve “good, wholesome food for the mind and body” with a healthy side order of progressive politics since 1976 will soon be no more.

The vegetarian-leaning restaurant, on the corner of Glenwood and Lunt, was the creation of young progressive activists.

GEORGIA: Parents Kill and Bury Children In Backyard

A father and three other people have been arrested after authorities in Georgia discovered the bodies of his two missing children buried in his yard.

The bodies were identified as 14-year-old Mary Crocker, last seen in October, and her elder brother Elwyn Crocker Jr., who was also 14 when he went missing in November 2016.

FLORIDA: Men Kill Roomate Over “Stolen” PS4

Two Florida men allegedly stabbed their former roommate to death on Monday night because they suspected him of stealing their PlayStation 4, authorities said.

Jake Bilotta, 22, and Ian McClurg, 21, are facing first-degree murder charges, accused of luring Joshua Barnes to their house north of Orlando because they believed he was behind a robbery in the home a few days before.
